Xenro product license

These terms cover add-ons, styles and other software published by Xenro on xenro.biz when the product listing refers to this license. Xenro is the product publisher, based in Singapore; “you” means the individual or organization that lawfully obtains the product. The product is licensed for use, not sold as intellectual property.

1. Scope and other licenses

Product-specific terms clearly shown before purchase, or agreed with Xenro in writing, take precedence where they differ from these general terms. Third-party components retain their own licenses. This license does not grant a license to XenForo or another dependency. You must obtain any required licenses separately. Xenro is an independent publisher and does not claim endorsement by XenForo Ltd.

2. Permitted installations

• Paid products: one license permits one production forum and one private development or staging copy of that forum. The test copy must be access-restricted and must not operate as a second public community. Each additional production forum requires another license unless the product listing expressly allows more.
• Free products: you may use the product on any number of forums that you own or operate, unless a different license is expressly supplied with that product.

You may move a licensed installation to another domain under the same ownership after removing the previous production installation. Private backups are allowed. Contractors may access the files solely to work on your authorized installation and may not retain or reuse them for another customer.

3. Modifications and restrictions

You may modify the product for your own authorized installations. Copyright and license notices in source files must remain intact. A requirement to display a public copyright or branding notice, and any removal option, must be stated in the individual product listing; these general terms do not introduce an undisclosed visible credit.

You may not redistribute, mirror, share, sublicense, rent or resell the product or a modified version, whether for payment or free. You may not claim authorship of Xenro’s original code or share purchase/download access. Giving someone a link to the official resource page is allowed. A transfer to another owner requires Xenro’s written permission. These restrictions do not override rights granted by a third-party component’s own license or mandatory law.

4. Purchases and continued use

A paid license takes effect when payment is confirmed, or when Xenro explicitly grants access. A free license takes effect when you lawfully obtain the free product. Installing or using a product covered by these terms signifies agreement to them; if you do not agree, do not install or use it and contact Xenro before purchasing.

Unless a different term was disclosed before purchase, your right to use an authorized version does not expire merely because a support or update period ends. This does not grant a right to separate products, services or future releases outside the purchase terms.

5. Updates, compatibility and support

Included updates, support channels and any renewal period are determined by the product listing and your order at the time of purchase. Where no support period is stated, no time-limited renewal is introduced by this general license. There is no promise of a particular response time, future release schedule or compatibility with every third-party add-on or style.

Support concerns the unmodified product on the stated supported versions of XenForo and its dependencies. Custom development, installation services and investigation of third-party conflicts are included only when expressly offered. You are responsible for backups and testing an update before applying it to a production forum.

6. Payment problems and refunds

For a duplicate payment, missing download access or a product defect, contact Xenro with the product name, order reference and a description of the issue. Do not post passwords, payment credentials or private customer data in a public support topic. Any additional refund terms must be disclosed before purchase. Nothing in this license removes refund or other consumer rights that applicable law requires.

A completed full refund or reversal ends the license granted by that payment, unless Xenro agrees otherwise in writing. Another separately valid license is unaffected. Removing an add-on does not by itself request or process a refund.

7. External services, privacy and uninstall

Product listings must identify required dependencies, any external installation or activation requirement, and applicable license-verification or other external requests, including what data is sent and when. A general license link does not replace disclosures required in an individual listing. Consult the product documentation and privacy policy for the relevant processing details.

This license does not authorize undisclosed collection of personal data or unsolicited downloads of executable code by the product. Installation and uninstallation routines must not download code to execute. Uninstallation must remain possible without the availability of an external license server. Uninstalling may delete product-owned data as described in the product documentation; back up your data first.

8. Ownership and responsibility

Xenro retains the rights to its original software and documentation. You retain rights to your own forum content and data. Except for express product commitments and rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, the software is provided as supplied, without a guarantee that it will meet every individual requirement or operate without interruption. You are responsible for your forum’s configuration, content, backups and use of external services. Nothing here excludes liability or warranties where exclusion is prohibited by applicable law.

9. Breach and termination

Xenro may terminate the affected license for a material breach of these terms. Where the breach can reasonably be corrected, Xenro will request correction before terminating it. On termination, stop using and delete copies covered by the terminated license, except records you must retain by law. Termination does not authorize access to or deletion of your forum by Xenro.

10. Versions and contact

The terms supplied with your purchase or download govern that grant. A later revision of this page does not retroactively reduce rights already granted; different terms for a later purchase or release must be disclosed before you accept them. The English text is the reference version, subject to any mandatory local-language or consumer protections.
